Chris Piel is an international research analyst at Diamond Hill, a First Eagle Investments Company. He became part of First Eagle in 2026 upon the firm's acquisition of Diamond Hill. Prior to joining the firm in August 2017, he was an international research associate with Harris Associates. Before that, he was an analyst with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He was previously an analyst with Morgan Stanley. Chris earned a BS in finance from University of North Carolina Wilmington and an MBA from University of Wisconsin – Madison. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
