Guided by our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), First Eagle seeks to nurture a high-performance culture that attracts, develops and retains a talented, inclusive workforce. With a focus on consistent and collaborative engagement across the organization alongside coordinated action on the factors within our control, we have organized our DE&I efforts around three interrelated dimensions.

Human Capital

First Eagle has instituted a variety of policies, programs and benefits intended to advance our DE&I goals and to ensure that the firm remains an attractive workplace for prospective and current employees. We have reimagined our recruiting and hiring process to help eliminate unintended embedded bias and to encourage all qualified candidates to apply. We invest heavily in our employees, offering a variety of bespoke training programs and targeted financial support to further our colleagues’ professional development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package to promote their physical, mental and emotional well-being.


External Relationships

First Eagle seeks to leverage our business footprint in such a way that encourages diversity and inclusion more broadly with the nonprofit organizations in our communities, the vendors we do business with and our peers in the industry.


Culture & Environment

Inherent in our commitment to employees’ total health and well-being is the need to ensure that First Eagle remains an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Combined with a culture of open, bilateral communication across the organization, such an environment empowers our employees to be their authentic selves at work and positions them to forge stronger connections with their colleagues, to the benefit of all First Eagle stakeholders.

  • The First Eagle Investments Foundation is the primary vehicle through which we engage with our nonprofit partners and the communities in which we work, live and invest. The Foundation supports three primary activities: direct monetary support for a range of charitable causes and academic pursuits; collaborative, ongoing partnerships with a small number of nonprofit organizations; and creative approaches to amplifying the philanthropic engagement of our colleagues. Since its establishment in 2012, the Foundation has donated about $8.4 million (as of December 2021) to organizations and causes identified as important to First Eagle employees and our communities.
  • We seek to establish vendor relationships with companies that are constructively engaged in diversity and inclusion issues, and we are proactive in including Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) in our service provider searches.
  • We look to engage with our investment management peers to advance DE&I across our industry, particularly in the area of Human Capital.
