Christopher J. Flynn

Christopher Flynn is co-president of First Eagle Alternative Credit, overseeing all aspects of the business. Chris became part of First Eagle in 2020 upon the firm’s acquisition of THL Credit, where he had been chief executive officer. Chris joined THL Credit in 2007 and served as co-president of its direct lending platform; he was involved in originating and closing investments, managing portfolios, raising capital and managing the direct lending platform’s private funds and accounts. He also played a central role in establishing the direct lending platform’s Chicago and New York offices. Prior to joining THL Credit, Chris worked in AIG’s leveraged capital group and at hedge fund Black Diamond Capital Management. Previously, he served in a variety of roles at GE Capital, was a financial analyst at BNP Paribas and was a commercial banker at Bank One. Chris earned a BA in finance from DePaul University and an MBA with a concentration in finance and strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
